Dillon Reidenauer Scholarship

Dillon Reidenauer Memorial Scholarship

Dillon Reidenauer was born on May 30, 2006, in Slidell, Louisiana, and grew up in Abita Springs, Louisiana. She passed away tragically on February 26, 2025. With her kind heart and beautiful spirit, she spread the light of Christ to all who knew her. Intelligent and wise beyond her years, Dillon was a dedicated and loyal daughter, sister, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, girlfriend, friend, niece, and cousin. Many, especially her younger family members who idolized her, considered her a role model.

Dillon trusted in God and lived her faith as a devoted Catholic. Feeling honored to serve as a confirmation sponsor for her cousin, she also led retreats for the Teen Encounter Christ community, attended Bible Study at LSU, and brought others closer to Christ through her joyful and faithful spirit.

A hard worker and high achiever, Dillon was a member of Riverbend Gymnastics’ competitive team from 2014 to 2022, earning her place among the top 100 Level 6 gymnasts in the country. From 2022 to 2024, she served as a junior coach, sharing her love and knowledge of gymnastics with beginner competitors. Graduating from Fontainebleau High School in 2024 with honors and as a member of the National Honor Society, she captained both the FHS Swim Team and the Track and Field Team. Throughout her high school career, Dillon competed at the state level in both sports, excelling particularly in pole-vaulting, where she soared over the bar. Upon graduating high school, she was recognized as one of Louisiana’s top pole vaulters.

At Louisiana State University, Dillon made the Dean’s List while pursuing an interior design degree. As a pole vaulter on the LSU Track and Field Team, she fulfilled her dream of being part of the LSU athletics family.
